Not too long ago a girl I knew took her life

Because the people at her school cut into her like a knife

They made her hate herself but yet she had the sweetest of hearts

So the pain that they put her through ripped her family apart

Now I'm sitting here thinking about her families pain

About the feeling they won't ever see their daughter again

All because some bullies thought it'd make them cool with their friends

How does it feel knowing you brought somebody's life to an end

This is why I'm begging you to listen cuz I don't want you to hurt

I don't want your pain to put you six feet deep in the dirt

I'm trying to make you see the truth because you're better than they say

You just need to keep your head up and just smile away
