How awesome it is

Your amazing love and Your greatness

And Your patience

Is what has caught my attention

You patiently wait for us

When we turn and run away

As well as patiently searching for us

When we've strayed away

Making a path, trying to create our own way

Now, the world says

"Take the path that no one else has taken"

But what a foolish thing to say

When the Lord has already paved it

Created it

He made no mistakes with this

And yet we cause strife and contentions

With stupid arguments when we begin debating this

Your patience is what we take for granted

And we claim to understand it

But we don't fully grasp

This amazing attribute You possess

That allows us to remain standing.

It's Your mercy, Your kindness

That You don't have to give

But You do it anyway

Despite the daily disobedience

Combined with the "YOLO" mindset

Plus the cliche "it is what it is"

Totaling up to a false-positive knowledge

On how we should live

It's a blessing

It's Your patience

That awakes us after sleeping

Think about it

Even while we slumber

Why would He allow us to keep breathing?

It's to give us another chance

To walk uprightly

Not to wake up

So we can continue to dance

To the tunes of unrighteousness.

It's a gift

It's His patience

That so greatly abounds

And none of us deserve it

But yet it keeps us all from being

6 feet under ground

It's His unconditional, unfailing love

It's His patience

When will we comprehend this?

And turn to repentance?

Or will we follow the steps of Israel

And ignore Him unto the point

Where Gods patience is no longer in existence?

Even chastisement and affliction

Doesn't get our attention

We fail to see

That's another sign of His patience

That is displayed so beautifully.

It's His patience

That we continue to ignore

Because it's the worldly treasures

That we'd rather have stored

He's patient

Because He wants us to

Pursue

Righteousness, godliness, faith, love steadfastness, gentleness

To set our minds on Him

For we are to do good

To be rich in good works, and be generous

We are to store up

Treasures for ourselves as a good foundation

For the future

Which is the dwelling with our Lord Jesus Christ

So that we may take hold

Of that which is truly life

His patience

For His sickly patients

Will run out sooner than later

Lord I thank You

For giving me this understanding

Allowing me to see

This underserving gift

You bestow on this mere human

Who You're constantly fighting for

And defending

It's His patience, His patience

As to why He has chosen

Not to let us go

Because He loves us that much

Yet, one day we won't get that second go

It's His patience!
