The Awakening

I didn't know that I was gonna die when I woke up this morning

I didn't plan saying my last goodbye when I woke up this morning

I'm pretty sure my family gonna cry at the wake when they mourning

My people wanna see somebody die for the death of me darling

I heard shots ring, dropped to the ground feeling my shoulder sting

Paralyzed with shock on the block I couldn't do a thing

That's when a single tear drop fell from my left eye

My body turned cold as the winter as I began to die

I felt my soul leave me like its never coming back here

This time around I wasn't as lucky as I was last year

They got me! It's probably someone close to me who shot me
