I'm the underdog leaping over hurdles, running gauntlets

Drinking til I'm drifting, stumble, in and out consciousness

Obnoxious demeanor, but I'm really humble hearted

Guess that shot that nearly grazed me in the head made me retarded

Near death experiences got me loving life more

The brown trays up in county corrections became an eyesore

Three men in the same cell, almost cost me another charge

I had to find peace in the chaos and leave it up to God

Put my pride aside and surrender most of this anger

When family you thought would hold you down act like some strangers

When you down and in the streets gettin' love from gangbangers

It ain't hard to wanna grow up emulating being gangster
