When i was living in the suburbs of Chi

I almost died, problems left to right I cried every night

I was born premature for sure

None of this, was suppose to occur

I remember waking up at the hospital feeling insecure

Confused and hurt, I was feeling all the pressure

Living under the dirt like I never been heard

It took a long time to sprout just like the beginning of birth

When every doctor of Chicago couldn’t find a cure

Was this the end of my existence, I wasn’t sure

It doesn’t matter how or where you live

God gave us all, a gift

There’s no reason to put it at risk

The life that we choose, to live

The poor or the rich, doesn’t even exist

Except those who really have a heart to give

Growing up in Cicero, a year later we took a trip to Mexico

Days followed by days, just one season full of episodes

The pain has always been, hard for me to let go

I knew I was good to the people yea I knew that Ive always been special

This son was raised, by the greatest parents from the get-go

I didn’t care bout race in Riverdale I was nine, living in the ghetto

I was traumatized from roaches

It’s really bogus how mostly all my life ive been told a bunch of lies

I had little holes in my intestine, looking for perfection

Facing problems with money like we were living The Great Depression

Look at the streets and tell me what you see

Don’t be ashamed, of where you are, where you’ve been or where you want to be

A lot of hate and pain is what we breathe

Violence, negativity is what we see just to let our hearts bleed

I cant believe people wana fight over little things, over everything

Choosing sides just to fight isn’t gonna solve a single thing
