We pay all our money on bills

It takes two days to pay for electricity

Two more days to pay for water, three days

To make a car payment, five days for food

There aren't enough days to be happy

There's not enough time to break even here in America

We've got clean water

We've got bright sunshine and social justice and

Full prisons and full hospitals, and we

Blame each other for our own faults, and

We blame the past for our present faults

We use guilt and sex as a power play in order to control other races

All of our races hate their own

Here in America, we have such a desperate need to be liked and loved

And we never feel it as long as we live

We just kill the pain with drugs and TV

Are we really that different from you

Are we really that worse than you too
