What happens after growth is the question I keep asking me

After all the trials and fire that led me on to me

After adolescence has died, there's new life in me

A phoenix has arose through prose, bombastically

New breath that I breathe is clean through my nose

Is it magic, does it mean my chapter's closed?

Does it mean I never once have to fight foes?

Does it mean I'll forever be cooking, like a stove?

Gotta take it back to the past and think it through

A control freak I been and it all felt abused

Because I had dreams to see myself in news

Because of this the devil was tempting the issue

Because of my dreams and wanting the big chair

To sit above everyone else make them aware

And seeking validation through storytelling and flair

And yet through it nobody knew I was just a square

Wanting to be acknowledged but leaving no explanations

Hoping that my mystery leads infatuations

Then purposely slowing it down with all of my relations

For deeper connections and feeding my sensations

Purposely leaving open doors for unfinished business

Piling up the ghosts and leaving all things unfinished

A con-man at heart leaving all things diminished

It's here I realise I'm not as whole, I admit it

What happens after growth?

I guess you just keep on growing

Praying for exile because I'm scared that I'll blow it

But God has greater plans, he tells me and I know it

To use all of my trash as some new seeds He's sowing

What happens after growth?

God will use all my dreams

My search for acknowledgement?

To power my self esteem

The ghosts of my past?

Memories that'll last

All bringing me to my purpose, as He asks
