Below The Surface

I thought I said I didn't want to talk about it

You swore you wouldn't bring it up anymore

Its not fair to open up the wound and let me bleed out on the floor

But here we are some things are better left below the surface

That's where they cannot do us harm anymore

Lets spare ourselves a little misery forget it and move on we'll fool the world

Why can't we keep pretending everything is still the same as yesterday

Whenever we go down that road it really just amounts to nothing
