When you can't have what you're wanting

Keeps evading you when you're trying 

To make the ends meet up or have something work or make something happen

Stuck right here in amber frozen in time 

Feeling like a broken clock, not really working 

Only right twice a day, and it's miles away but your heart keeps searching

Stranded in space, and I'm lost in time 

Hope I'll be lucky when the clock hits nine 

Suspended here in mid-air, dull but well aware that the sand still frozen 

In the desert, where it shapes, and shifts like it's alive
