I can't believe I made it out the trap

Used to break my back for table scraps

Took out loans from friends with no intentions of paying' 'em back

And it felt like that pain would last forever

Gettin' high made my life void of pleasure

But against all odds, it's getting better

Yes, I said it, it's getting better

I'm fuckin' proud of myself

Didn't bitch about the hand I was dealt

Did it without any help

It's been a long road to recovery
