When you sit there by yourself looking down the old easy street

All you want is someone to take some weight off your tired feet

It shines like a neon sign through another sleepless night

All your thoughts flashing by in happy colors so bright

It's a bit unsettling how your darkness can feel so calm

You can almost reach the things that always seemed so far

Sometimes you may wonder what tomorrow have to give

But yesterday is still too fresh to be crossed off from your list

Faded out, forgotten about, these feelings can't be killed

You see yourself too hard to forgive in your lesser will to live
