Captivated

Oppression and recession was the heartbeat of my life

but a voice cut through the darkness gripped my heart,

and with blooming, all consuming sounds of mercy grace and love,

it split through my darkened vision like a dart

It was the voice of Jesus calling me through Holy strains,

come to me you broken, weary, and oppressed,

I will give you living water and a yoke of ease and strength,

just receive my gift of mercy, come and rest,

And so thus the song of mercy filled my heart,

And thus, my life took on a brand new start,
