The Big Crunch

With the clock moving backwards we're still running out of time

Technology advances while lucidity declines

In the grip of crippling ignorance we rashly drone

Despite the deepest well of knowledge we've ever known

Civilizations rise and fall as a general rule

But this race to extinction is unique in its abuses

Take me up to the highest place and show me all the world

I'm searching for anything left in it outside of the absurd

Rapaciousness annihilates all it can afflict
