Prayers Up

Please Father no more teddy bears attached to poles

Balloons or tattoos on arms names on windows

Faces printed on clothes

And no more cars full of bullet holes

And no more moments of silence before the shows

And no more singing End of the Road

But I guess that's just the life so many of them chose

Leaving mothers with stuffy nose and faint scent of a rose

But imma pray for better days like the day we say that He rose

And leave flows to bring comfort like changing out of wet clothes

And put these childish things away I suppose

From a child to a man, that's the way that he grows
