shadows

I journey through the words I write. Short bursts of identity, short notes here and there

I am always changing. A witness to what was on my mind, a reminder for I always forget

One lamented of a loss of touch with reality, the other chose to numb her feelings

And all the while there is a distant hum, a constant pain

All I can do is appreciate the now

Rising with the sun to live another day, basking through sunset and sundown to the night blind

These shadows they only appear in the light, leaving the past behind
