3am and I cant sleep

I try to drift but see a peep

Of light lay on my window sill

I close my eyes and see it still

The birds are chirping in the trees

Of heartless minds and treacherous seas

I play my thoughts out on a loop

So I can hear the inside scoop

Of what and where and how and why

Dreaming while the ink black sky

It takes me in and eats me whole

I feel it deep inside my soul
