Skeletons

I spend these hours listening back to a voice that doesn't fit me

These old & fading bones will collapse on me in time

I'll bury my old self in a plot you'll never see

Shaving off the features that give myself away

I have to break out from the confines of what you would expect from

This body that has never been the right end goal

What you think you see here wasn't present in the first place

Now I am one with the essence of myself

I find myself too focused on the cause behind the wounds

When a simple change of scenery will ground me again
