Lived life in the shallows to keep myself sane

Refusing to drown in the depths of my pain

But now that I'm swimming, fear better beware

Found out my ocean has power to spare

No dying on dry land for me anymore

Can't be with people who are rooted ashore

They visit the beach to show skin and look cool

Play safe and see only the sand and tide pools

Thought I'd float alone since nobody's the same

Then you came and you wanted more than to wade
