Timber Limbs

As long as my heart is beating

There is hope that these things will be fulfilled

Maybe here and now I will choose to believe

That what I have experienced so far is only a shadow of what is to come

The sweetest and most fulfilling moments lie ahead, I will stay at the vanguard

Fae and foe have guided me so to a placid land in forever change

I change and leap up and fall with a dive

I am crushed by boulders and great stones

Timber limbs replace my ribs and spine

I see dogs and wild animals feast on the fire behind my eyes

The sense is that some things have grown dull

And that others shine like silver stones and moonbeams across the sounding shore
