Spent most of our youth thinking bout suicide but we made it through

Went off to college living off loans knew this music shit was in my soul

They say to start your day with gratitude

List all the stuff that you're grateful for

But I'm sitting here thinking

Why is that such a hard thing for me to do

I can't blame you, I blame all the trauma that you went through

Losing someone dear to your heart can really mess with you

Left alone in the world with two kids didn't know what to do

Never met no one stronger

Dealing with many obstacles life is a roller coaster

I learned important lessons from you and for that I'm thankful

But the one I reject is to never be like my father

We all got our flaws and all

But as long as we can recognize that then we gone be alright

Sometimes it's a struggle to live but I'm thankful I'm alive

Every decisions I make is a step towards a better life

I hope my sister gets to find her way out

It's hard to hide the pain everyday when it's tryna come out
