I remember when I picked up the mic for the first time

Never knowing that I be writing these rhymes

But it's all that I've ever wanted since I laid down the first vocals

Not a thought in my mind that this would be my focus

My whole life

Something to get me through the days

So I can sleep at night

But it's not always black and white

Some days I'm happy some days it's fine

Some days I find myself worrying about every thing on my mind

It's a work in progress

As long as I don't wake up in 20 years with regrets

I know that I'll be happy

The skies the limit all I see is green like a caddy

I know that I'm gonna be the best daddy when the time comes

I've thought a lot about it since I started working with kids

It's been a minute since

And I know it'll be a couple of years

I mean shit

I haven't even met the woman that I wanna marry

I mean I thought I did

But I guess I wasn't ready

That shit is weighing heavy on me

I mean what if I don't meet another girl

What if I don't deserve another chance

I know I just need to relax

Just a pen and some paper

And a need to be loved

It's all I had in the beginning

Wrote that first hit with my best friend since birth

Knew him since he entered the earth

Two years older but we always stayed in touch

Now we both in college ain't that something

And we don't see each other as much

But we've both got a lot of love for each other

And that's something I wouldn't trade for nothing

Back in 2018 I dropped another song

Called it summer vibes

A couple months later took my time

To write a song about how I felt

It's something I had never done before

It was vulnerable

But it's all apart of the journey

And it taught me that I could really let this

Music be my therapy session

It's everyday lessons that I'm teaching myself

The older I get the more I mature

The more I adore my family and the ones that I love

Never taking for granted what could walk out the door at any moment

My biggest opponents are the ones that live inside

Thought that I would outgrow em the more I got older

But as I got older I started to lose the shoulders I would rely on to cry on

And I know that my time is limited

So imma spend every minute that I can

With the ones that've been around to see me become the man I am
