And when it was time for the pastor to preach

It was my time to lay down and go to sleep

Got to them late teenage years didn't have to go

Mama would ask you gonna church and I would say no

Now I felt like I was grown and so free

All because I didn't have to say my mama made me

Now I would sleep all Saturday morning and club at night

Sunday came and I didn't wake up to see the day light

Then I started to feel a lot of guilt and shame

And every time I got in trouble I would call His name

So I just ditched the clubs and went back to the church

Faithfully going and doing real good at first

Until I found myself straying back to the streets

Up in the bars with the drunks with the slurry speech

And hanging out with the hustlers from around the way

Delivering all types of weight just to make some money

And I knew in my mind that this was all wrong

Gotta get back to church cause that's where I belong

I finally realized that the streets wasn't for me

Had to get myself together snap back to reality

The same way I felt when I was living the worldly life

Real comfortable without all the sin

And striving to be Christlike until the very end

So I regave my life on a Sunday

Time passed now I feel like I'm ready for judgement day

And I thank you God for forgiving me

For all the things I didn't do when I wasn't serving you

I must say that my soul feels real refreshed

Because I know that I'm not walking in the flesh

But rather with you God and that's all

And I really don't care how many times the devil calls

And I know with you God is where I wanna be
