Lyrics
I guess from your point of view, you think I'm doing fine
I ripped a page out y'all books, and now I fake smile
I turned my whole life around, it's time to redesign
I even dropped the red dot, and went to plain Zy3
I'm guessing when the stars align, I gotta read between the lines
Tall glasses of rose wine, now it's time for me to shine
I wanna leave the past behind and just relive my life
Now I'm on a different journey, it's just me and my wife
Sixteen years with no heart, I just gotta keep a steady pace
And I know I can go far, I feel everybody
Gotta roll to play, I'm just playing my part
Here today and gone tomorrow, I just wanna leave you my art
It can be so difficult to move on
I mean, damn, it's so easy to do wrong
You wanna try hard, but you won't
It's therapeutic spending nights at the studio
With new flows
Here's a story about a boy that bust his ass to do right
He would get bullied at home, so at school he would fight
He found a passion in music, and it changed his whole life
Let's take it further than that, let's put this under the light
Okay, so through his eyes, the world was a mystery
So he dabbled in shit he was never meant to see
His parents always argued right in front of him
He used to tell him stop, but they was blunt with him
So he stayed in a childs place and just let things play out
He loved watching cartoons and run around the whole house
Then one day he realized that dad wasn't around
But when he did return, the young boy found out that
Turns out that daddy and mommy got separated
So he remembered the fights and how it originated
He wanted someone to blame, someone to hate
But he was young, he could only be irritated
He's no longer mad, he loves them both, he let it go
But deep in his heart began a hole, a black hole
Next thing he knew, they both were seeing people
Little did he know that this would be the prequel
To a life that he would learn to hate
The hole in his heart wanted him to retaliate
Fast forward a couple years and his father got custody
He saw his mother was torn, he went away reluctantly
Now he's in a whole different world
He saw so much, now he looks differently at girls
He's too young, but now he wants to dive a little deeper
He can't focus in school, a red flag for his teachers
In reality, he misses his mama, he needs to see her
And it rarely ever happened, he grew thick skin, no Sia
He doesn't realize that everything's about to change
The life that he knew, it'll never be the same
Never be the same
This is years later and he sees it all now
The woman with his father is evil and foul
Went to school with a swollen lip, he got punched in the mouth
There ain't shit that he could do, so he just tried waiting it out
Family and friends would take pity when they would come around
He would do anything to escape the horrors of the house
And sure, he would act up in school
It's only because at home they were nothing short of cruel
His father would just sit there and watch in his perspective
His children were getting mistreated, abused, and neglected
Never did a thought cross his mind he was getting tested
The boy went a whole week without food, sleep, and his respect
He was standing up at a bar where he wrote the same sentence
Over and over, that shit was so relentless
Steal out the kitchen, he was hungry and tempted
How could you do this to a child? I don't get it
He turned into a klepto, so something was in his stomach
So he could have a life outside of all of the nothing
Reading and writing and drawing so he could escape
No TV, no outside, and definitely no games
He got to play sports, but that got taken away
So much wasted potential outside of the shame
There's still love for the game, it's still there to this day
Thoughts clouding his mind, forecast says it's gonna rain
He used to think to himself, God why
Eventually the tears dried up and he learned not to cry
But he never gave up faith, he had God on his side
For one day in gym class, he would meet his future wife
She was the reason he decided to take action
Needed an escape, he wrote a note and started packing
First or even the second time didn't go so good
But he just kept on trying, he just knew he could
Now it's getting worse and he just wanted to end it all
Or all of it to just end and all it took was a call
And that day the boy knew what to do
He got himself out and even got him some proof
With a phone call, he could live a better life
Reunited with his mama and his mama's side
Not only that, but he could make it work with his girl
And that was the day he saw a better world
I guess from your point of view, you think I'm doing fine
I ripped a page out y'all books and now I fake smile
I turned my whole life around, it's time to redesign
I even dropped the red dot and went to plain Zy3

Now I'm on a different journey, it's just me and my wife
16 years with no heart, I just gotta keep a steady pace
And I know I can go far, I feel everybody
Got a role to play, I'm playing my part
