About to contemplate, the Nature of God

All Christians believe in the same One God

There is only one God and He is supreme

"You shall have no gods before me"

And "only one God is what we believe"

Even though describing God is very difficult

We all know blasphemy is just despicable

His nature is complex, I know you're wondering

If God is all-loving then why allow suffering?

All powerful, all-knowing, God is just

Omnipotent, omniscient "in God we trust"

Benevolent, all-loving, full of grace

Transcendent, he is beyond every place

The creation of the world had never taken birth

Until God made the heavens and the earth

Formless and empty not a life in sight

That changed when God said "Let there be light"

Genesis tells us how the world was formed

Six days of creation when humans were born

Genesis says the "spirit hovered over seas"

John doesn't mention controversies

Instead he focuses on the fact that remains the same

"The word was with God and, Through Him all things were made"

The word is Jesus, it's not a mystery

It's just another way to explain the Trinity

It's a three-in-one trick, That's what we see

In John three v one-six

All powerful, all-knowing, God is just

Omnipotent, omniscient "in God we trust"

Benevolent, all-loving, full of grace

Transcendent, he is beyond every place

Heaven is the place where Christians wanna be

A place to reside with God for eternity

Catholics believe they have to wait in puragtory

Cos Adam & Eve ate the apple from the tree

God judges us based on what we believe

If we accept the Lord then we'll be set free

Read the parable of the goats and the sheep

'Aint getting to the Lord except through me'

"Whosever believes in him will have eternal life."

That's why Christians believe that they'll never die

"The wages of sin is death, God's gift is eternal life."

Paul writes, "in Adam all will die and in Christ all will be alive."
