James Ben was born February 28th, 1989, to the family of Benjamin Udi. He is the first son and second child of five children. He hails from Okorogba in Ethiope East, Delta state.
His primary and secondary education was in Edo and Delta States and he is a graduate of Crop Science from the University of Benin.
He began singing at an early age as music flows in the family. He started playing the piano at the age of 10 and further went into songwriting. He has written well over a hundred songs and has recorded 5.
He has also featured on various stages alongside the likes of Nathaniel Bassey, Freke Umoh, Samsong, Joe Praise, Victoria Orenze and a lot more.
He is presently the pastor in charge of music in the Chapel of Mercy, Asaba, the music director at the Branded Grace Crew and the director at 'The Mouthpiece 'crew (the band he ministers with).
