The F.A.K.E
As the age-old adage goes, “two heads are better than one”. The F.A.K.E. embody this saying. Coming from Lusaka and the Copperbelt respectively, Cjayy & JJ have been influenced by the two most prominent provinces in Zambia, and that has led to their popularity throughout the country and to Zambians in the diaspora as well. The two provinces mentioned aren’t normally associated with seeing eye-to-eye, but in spite of this, The F.A.K.E have found a unique way to bridge the gap and produce music that everyone can relate to.
Their influence has also spread due to their schooling experiences in Zambia, South Africa, and now Malaysia. This exposure to different cultures has allowed them to incorporate even more different styles in their music. This has only increased their appeal wherever they have gone.
Whether it’s Hip-Hop, Trap, R&B or even Afro Beats/Pop, The F.A.K.E.’s diverse skillset is undisputed. It is what makes them distinctly unique from any other Zambian act before them. Their ability to showcase their adaptability on a consistent basis is what has led to their ever-increasing popularity.
