Izzy O'Kay

Hi there. I'm Izzy O'Kay. Yes, I'm okay. I'm just fine. I come from a place of love, devotion, and equality. I love pop music. I cherish pop music. I create pop music. My biggest influences are Prince, Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears, and 90's music. I'm a 90's baby. My moniker comes from my first name Israel and last name Ochoa. (Izzy O'Kay). It comes from a pretty hilarious time when I performed at a karaoke bar. I got plastered and passed out mid-song on the floor. All I could hear was people saying, "Is he okay?" over and over. It was very vague, but I do remember it. I have been writing music since 2007. I started off fiddling on my 1999 Windows computer. Shortly after, I got into making beats out of music looping software, which turned into recording, which later turned into burning CDs at home with poorly written songs. I didn't stop there. I kept going and a new hobby was born. Balancing work, family, and music became a lifestyle. I released my first album "Into the Darkness" in 2012 as a free download on a music forum I was very active on. As you can imagine, I was still a work in progress both vocally, and musically. I then worked on my next album, "Angel Dressed in Black" which was finally released last April. Currently, I'm working on a couple of new projects: an English and a Spanish album.
