Chidi Nyenami Okezie, known professionally as Zafric, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He grew up in Port-Harcout, in a working-class Christian family. He attended Goldsprings High School in Port Harcourt.
During his teenage years, he immersed himself in performing arts courses and actively participated in school productions. His musical journey was deeply influenced by his mother's collection of urban music records, predominantly gospel, soul, and R&B. Following the completion of his SSCE, he secured admission to Bowen University in Iwo, Nigeria, where he studied music. At the university, he mastered music theory and refined his piano and vocal skills, becoming an integral member of the university choir.
