Ryan Carter (born December 2, 1991 in Detroit, MI) is an American recording artist, songwriter, producer, and philanthropist known globally for his parody hip-hop albums. In 2013, Ryan Carter released his debut "Welcome to Planet Earth: Grand [Schemes] and Bad [Dreams]", followed by Welcome to Planet Earth 2: Supreme (Machines) and Devolved [Monsters] in 2014, and Mind of the Court Jester in 2015.
Ryan Carter gained worldwide recognition with his 2016 album The Exaggerated Tales Of... which exceeded 1 million digital streams within 6 months of it's release. In 2017, Carter followed with his politically-charged, Nightmares in America which also went on to exceeded 1 million digital streams. Following up with his first double-LP, The Doctorate on January 1, 2018 which went on to do over 2 million streams.
With several writing and production awards for work, Carter landed his first major label distribution deal in 2018 with "HUH! HAA! (Is This For Real?)" on Sonorous/Universal Records. Carter's first instrumental hip-hop album Spac Between Thoughts was released on December 5, 2018, his 6th album Human Error on October 18, 2019, and after a 2 year hiatus, Ryan released The Setup on February 22, 2022.
