Mary Sho

Mary Sho is a Singer/Songwriter from South East London born and raised off Walworth Road, of Nigerian descent. Drawn to acting and singing from a young age, she used to improvise scenes on the spot with imaginary characters – Mary Sho was a very animated child. She started penning songs at the age of 8 but was too shy to sing them. It was not until 2011 when messing around with a few friends in a studio that Mary Sho recorded a freestyle which was subsequently put out as song. In the years that followed Mary Sho provided backing vocals for a few artists to satisfy her hunger for singing and continued to write songs. Trials and tribulations followed, whilst also releasing 2 EPs between 2014-2016 named ‘Heart Trip’ (produced by Dotinc) and ‘Lightlife’ (produced by Team Salute) which was played by BBC London Introducing. These EPs were sonically influenced by my upbringing, growing up in the 80’s, sounds electro pop and soul.
