Israel Afolabi, also known as Omi Mailo is an Afro-fusion/alternative artiste hailing from Oyo state,
Nigeria. Born 19 June 2003 and grew up in Karu, Abuja Nigeria. With major musical influences from
artists like Burna Boy, Asa, Omah Lay, Adekunle Gold and Wizkid, his music often blends R&B with fuji
music. In his own words, "I am diverse in my music. My music sources are based on my emotions,
memories, moments and imagination"
Although he only recently started to take music seriously as a career, Mailo always had real music in
him, he had the natural ability to align good words and speak them with his heart through singing.
Like most artists, Mailo started singing at an early age and found comfort in singing loudly. His
journey began as he started singing in church and at various ceremonies.
As time passed, Mailo grew, of course, and got more mature, met people and understood himself
more. He started to discover music was more than just a hobby and decided to take it on full-time.
