4unky’s Bio
Nforngwa Ernest a.k.a 4unky, is a Cameroonian artist, born on the 30th of May 1989 in Nsem-Bafut, North West region of Cameroon. He is a rapper, singer, song writer and composer who started singing at the tender age of 11, and has been professionally doing music for 11 years today. He started off with Bahood Records back in 2007 in Bamenda, where he recorded his first official singe titled “Ma Block (son of the soil)”. Later, in 2010 he moved to Nigeria where he did a collabo with Nigerian singer and producer AU titled “No Dullin”, and collaborated with director Mattmax on the video.
In 2015 he moved to Ghana on a quest for more knowledge and inspiration for his music. This is felt in his music which is perfect blend of Cameroonian, Nigerian and Ghanaian tunes. He returned to Cameroon in 2016 and has since then been working on his first studio EP titled “TAKUMBENG”. The first video of the EP for the single “Sheila” directed by Pointeh has recently been released and is available on YouTube.
His greatest sources of inspiration are nature, the beautiful African woman, and the experiences he had from traveling across West Africa, and the cultures and the people he met on his travels. He is also greatly inspired by western and African artists like, Nick Cannon and 2Face.
His greatest objective and goal are to make his own humble contribution to the valorization, and increase the listening power and attention paid to African (especially Cameroonian) music...more
