South London’s Kaniva has been gaining momentum within the underground scene for some time now, with his hard-hitting punchlines, audacious attitude and most notably for his ability to paint a vivid image with his storytelling in regards to issues with homelessness & mental health.
2013 he won Remel London's RateMePlz competition, sold out his first headline show and opened for French Montana.
2014 he toured with Big Narstie, sold out his second headline show and then closed the year by opening for Snoop Dogg at Musicalize.
Shortly after the Musicalize performance Kaniva became homeless and struggled with releasing music throughout 2015. He produced a project telling the story in early 2016.
2017 saw Kaniva open for OG Maco on his world tour, headline iLuvlive & open for Little Simz at her “Welcome to Wonderland” headline show at the annual Camden Roundhouse Rising Festival.
His explosive Blackbox freestyle took storm with viral success early 2018, which led him to become one of the first artists to release music through GRM Daily's record imprint via Parlophone Records.
