Pingo® started out with an Amiga 500 and SoundTracker – creating 8-bit mods with a techno feel. At the same time, Pingo® used a Commodore 64 4-bit sampler, and in the 90's soon got hold of a Roland SC-55 and the first Novation BassStation.
Togheter with a lot of other local artist, Pingo® has created everything from body to techno, from chip to acid.
Today, the mix between chip-music (using a real Commodore 128 with MSSIAH), fakechip, acid (using Behringer's RD-6 and TD-3), italo disco, techno and hardcore (Roland MC-101 and Arturia MicroFreak), creates a unique sound that sometimes lingers into Japanese noise.
