Drawing disparate influences from a scattered musical background spanning everything from classical violin to a stint as a tech trance DJ, Lira’s work as a New York City-based singer and songwriter found its footing in 2008 with independent forays into electronic music and continuing with releases as a lyricist and featured vocalist on storied labels such as Armada Music, Alter Ego Records, and Unearthed Records.
In 2014, Lira fronted Brooklyn-based punk band Crater, where she was the lead singer and main songwriter, and took a turn in 2018 as the live lead vocalist for progressive rock band Book of Harmony.
