Benedict Marfo, better known as Pope Nst is an Accra-based Highlife artist. His name, Nst, is an abbreviation of Nsuta, a small town in the Ashanti region of Ghana where he was born and raised. His music journey so far has been in the classroom and on the streets. He started rapping in basic school by writing and memorizing verses from Reggie Rockstone, Okyeame Kwame, Kwaw Kese, Sarkodie and other Ghanaian rappers. Pope Nst had his first national television appearance in 2011 through music when he was in high school. His radio freestyle sessions during this period in his life gained him some exposure to start his professional music career.
In his third year in the University of Ghana Medical School he released his first EP, Life Commentary (Time Mixtape, Pt. 2), on 10th January, 2020. The EP did very well on campus, and the tracks had a couple of airplays.
