Chantel Adaorah Chukwuemeka, known professionally as Adaorah is a Nigerian-American singer, songwriter, and actress. Born in Onitsha, raised in Chicago, and currently based in Los Angeles, Adaorah began her music career at the age 13 where she was admitted into a well renowned Visual Performance Arts Academy in Chicago. There, she was classically trained and identified as a “coloratura soprano” where she sang classical arias in several languages including French, Italian, and Deutsh, and also performed in multiple musical theatre productions. Adaorah went on to compete nationally in vocal and theatre through the NAACP Act-So program, where she took home a gold medal in her categories.
After university, Adaorah moved to Los Angeles to pursue her music career and although she faced many obstacles in the industry, she knew she was destined to be a star. Inspired by the diverse sounds of Nigeria and the impact Afrobeats has made on the world, Adaorah is ready to introduce herself as a permanent face of the Nigerian AND American music scene.
