Born in Gardena, Los Angeles; Xan was raised in the uninteresting town of Apple Valley, CA in combination with Hawthorne, Los Angeles. Polar opposite environments and a household that encouraged artistry influenced Xan in a very unique way. These polarizing environments had Xan struggling with his identity at an early age. Being one of the few black kids in the valley Xan felt like an outcast; being no better in LA, kids outcasted him there because of his interests or the way he spoke, leaving him in a Catch 22 situation.
Xan has always been attracted to the idea of how beautiful certain combinations of notes can be. At the age of 9, he received his first computer and began to make beats on the DAW “Reason”, encouraged by his brother and father who were also producers. After some years, Xan dabbled in EDM after hearing Benny Benassi’s “Satisfaction”.
