Julz is a UK Afrobeats singer songwriter recording artist who fuses local African drums, Konga, African rhythm and African melodies etc, and blending that with some Pop and Hip Hop vibe bringing something fresh that cuts across and enables him to deliver very catchy dance and club friendly songs.
Music was always part of his teen years and, even though he did not sing in church or a choir, listening to a whole library of music from Zaiko, Hip Hop, Pop, Makossa, Zouk, Ndombolo, High Life, is a reason his songs seem to have a cocktail fusion of sounds. He started crafting his art with his childhood friend and label mate Ama Fru who is also the official Afru Music Entertainment producer and an Afrobeats artist.
His first official singles "Shishi" and "Lockup" were Afro hip hop tracks. He then released "Bruce Lee" and "Banana" and "Go Down" which were Afrobeats songs straying away from his rap and hip-hop background.
Go Down has been by far his best and most widely successful release and the many dance challenge videos around the world on instagram was a sign people are listening. He has so much more music coming 2021. We cannot wait to see what the journey holds....more
