Suzanna Owiyo is an award winning Kenyan artist who has been in the industry for two decades with three albums to her name- Kisumu 100, Yamo Kudho and My Roots. Following the release of her first album, Suzanna was nominated for the “Most Promising Artiste Category” at the Kora Music Awards 2002. She has collaborated with the likes of the late Zimbabwean artist Oliver Mtukudzi, Yvonne Chaka Chaka and Youssour N’dour whom she toured with in Europe under the “New African Voices Project”. Besides Music Suzanna is a champion and advocate for various issues in the society such as Girl Child Empowerment, Food Waste Reduction under her Soko Bila Waste Foundation initiative.
