In 2019 Gub began recording his debut EP on Lummi Island in the United States after quitting his job in Australia to pursue music. After two months writing and recording on the remote Lummi Island Gubbins returned to Australia to continue recording in 2020.
Gub’s EP is a reflection on a breakup recorded over the course of a year. Written, recorded and produced by the multi-instrumentalist, the music is a reflection on a changed lifestyle after the end of a relationship.
