Nía, born as Estefanía Lugo Carrión in Manatí, Puerto Rico on January 4, 1994. She completed her primary and secondary education at Colegio Evangélico Capitán Correa in Hatillo, Puerto Rico; town that saw her grow. She obtained a Sience Bachelor’s Degree at the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, Arecibo campus, with a major concentration in Biotechnology.
Music has always had a very important role in her life. She started singing at the age of 4 in the church where her maternal grandparents used to take her every Sunday. In school she also sang in the religious services, activities, concerts and the choir. In College she was part of the theater group and the choir.
