"Waje was born September 1, 1980, in Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria. She is the first born and the first daughter in her family. She grew up in Benin City ,, following her parent's relocation.
She attend University of Nigeria, Nsukka, earning a degree in social work from the school. During her time at UNN, she performed at school concerts and fellowships.
2007, Waje launched her music career. She was still a student at the time and paid her dues by doing lots of free shows and gigs. In 2008, she featured in the P-Square hit track titled ""Do Me"". This track was widely known across Africa and some parts of Europe.

in the last 2 weeks i have constantly repeated this track and still not done digesting it content (message) as it tells tails we tend to run away from on a daily. as human beings we must understand we are not in competition with no one, success Is a personal race and not a collective one, no one (man) I responsible for your shortcomings as you cant give what you don't have. brewing hate when you ought to put in work to record your own success is a total waste of time.... see ehn "I no fit start to explain your problems, as me I dey my corner dey maintain my problem"...
