Casmir emodi (born 14 January) better known by his stage name Uptown bwoy is a Nigerian Afrobeats and dancehall singer and song writer. Born and raised in Abia state. Uptown bwoy originated from Ihiala L.G.A in Anambra state.
The ghetto life was a reality for him but the singer always wanted more out of life for himself and his family. His lifestyle and mindset automatically led his peers tagging him the name UPTOWN BWOY even though that's not what life seemed
Being brought up in the eastern part of Nigeria, Uptown bwoy grew up between two worlds; his families deep ties in business and education and him trying to figure out a career in music. But to both worlds, he was surely a resident!
