Longkana Agno Simon, alias Longuè Longuè, is a Cameroonian musician born in Douala in 1973. Longuè Longuè songs become very popular and trendy online with a great number of streaming and downloads on Boomplay.

Longuè Longuè, son of Agno Simon, belongs to a family of five children. His father sent him to Yabassi in 1980 when his mother died.

Badly accepted by his uncle who did not want to consider him as a son, Longuè Longuè quickly finds himself on the street. He is perceived by those around him as a good-for-nothing. The possibility of continuing his studies is not allowed to him. He was a seller in the markets or a water distributor. It was the music that allowed him to get out of it. Indeed, very early on, he made musical instruments with recycled objects, in particular plywood guitars and percussion instruments with empty tin cans.

Career
In life, "what doesn't kill us makes us stronger" is his "Leit motiv". He takes life head on by putting his trust in the Eternal "the creator Nyambe", eternal of armies. Gradually, he made contacts in music through the recognition of his performing talents.

He begins by performing in the cabarets of Yaoundé. Winner of the Mützig competition organized by the brasseries of Cameroon, which offers him the opportunity to produce his first album. But success only knocked at his door when he released his first album in 2001, album titled Ayo Africa, the album's flagship eponymous song enjoyed phenomenal success in Cameroon and even beyond the borders. We quickly find a nickname for him, that of the "liberator". His stage name, Longuè, means "life" in the Douala dialect.

Her second album, Privatization, released in 2003, was less successful: except for the very pious piece "Ask God" where he explains that everything he owns does not come from the marabouts but from God.

Longuè Longuè is very popular, no doubt linked to his career. Before knowing the celebrity, he knew a great misery, misery which he describes in his autobiographical songs, when he does not attack the neocolonialism of the Westerners. Longuè Longuè is a source of inspiration for many underprivileged people in Cameroon because he represents those who have taken their revenge on life.

His career will be hampered by an indictment for rape. Longuè Longuè was arrested in Nantes on November 19, 2005, on the charges of his partner Chantal Mbassi, who claimed that he would have raped his 17-year-old niece. 48 hours later he was imprisoned in the Gradignan prison near Bordeaux. He was released on February 22, 2006 but was placed under judicial supervision with a ban on returning to Cameroon until the case was judged.

His third album, called Examination of Conscience or The Liberator Liberated once again allows this committed singer to unleash his verve.

On August 19, 2008, the Court of Appeal granted him the right to travel in order to be closer to his fans in his country of origin.
