Vendredi is a duo composed of two electronic music artists : Guillaume and Emil-Jan. Respectively coming from France and the Netherlands where they followed high level courses in music, they met in Geneva in 2018 and experiences their first success. They gained reputation through shows for palaces, either for Swiss watchmakers or wines and spirits brands. Why Vendredi ? On the one side, it is the best day of the week. On the other side, it represents an absolute aspiration to freedom, which is dear to them.
Lovers of deep house, they composed their first tracks inspired by Chicago’s House, by the deep house of their Scandinavian friends, and by the London refined style. It’s in September 2018 that everything started for them : each Friday, they proposed us a new track to celebrate Venus, the Goddess of love and seduction, because Vendredi also step from this planet.
They release Señora, their first track with Zwette, known for his remix of Another Love of Tom Odell, on the London based label Soundplate.
On the stage, you will find them between the bass, the synthesizer, the guitar, the drums and the saxophone with sets that mix different styles. They explore different universe but they have a true identity, a signature, a central thread – is this not what one calls today the French touch ? Or they would say the Vendredi’s touch ?...more
