In December of 2019 ROLLA began a musical journey. The 5 piece consist of 4 Mancunians in the form of the 2 Gilmore brothers, James the frontman and Luke the bass aficionado, accompanied by Luke McConnell on lead guitar and Tom Paddon on rhythm guitar & backing vocals and finally the Southerner & drummer Marston Robinson (Mars) also know as the bare-chested beat maker.
Growing up in the Tameside area of Manchester the lads were exposed to a city with such artistic and cultural wealth. This becomes apparent in the loud in your face guitar riffs and over powering beats in their own sound, whilst acknowledging the Manchester music scene and bands such as Oasis and Twisted Wheel. The attitude and confidence of the band allow them to have a crowd in the palm of their hand and control the masses to deliver a performance as big as their sound.
On the 6th March 2020, ROLLA released their first single 'Thinking of tomorrow'. In 2020 ROLLA are expecting huge steps forward with more single releases and bigger live shows so keep and eye out for social media updates.
