Singer/songwriter Roland Chika Ugwueze (aka Rol&) is a Nigerian artist born in 1995 and based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
Roland uses music as his escape from the dark reality of a stressful life and lack of job in the country despite being a fully licensed Medical Laboratory Scientist having graduated from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in the year 2016 and attaining his Medical license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria in the year 2018.
His interest in music began during his NYSC service to his country in the year 2019 after which in the year 2020 he began pursuing music full time, the COVID-19 pandemic provided him with a lot of free time away from his regular activities and taking advantage of this dark times Roland recorded and then released two singles “Roll the Kpoli” and “Hankali” in the year 2021, the latter received some attention for it’s calm vocals and Afro rhythms....more
