Pianist, composer and arranger, Daniela Mastrandrea was born in the beautiful cultural city of Gravina in Puglia in 1981, and started studying the piano at the age of 7. She composed her first pieces when she was 9.
In 2003 she graduated in piano from the Nino Rota Conservatory of Music in Monopoli (BA) under the guidance of her teacher Gabriella Bassi, at the same time completing her composition studies.
She is the winner of several international awards for composition.
In 2017 she won the Web Talent V.I.T.A. competition promoted by Believe Digital and Zimbalam Italia, and was awarded a recording assignment. In 2018 she was awarded the Argojazz Award for Best Musical Work for the 15th edition of the Argojazz Festival 2018. In 2019 she was awarded by the Estro Musicale Foundation (Milan) with her solo piano composition "La Besana".
Her first CD for solo piano Volo di Gabbiani, a collection of pieces she composed between the ages of 11 and 18 came out in 2005. 2016 saw her CD entitled Fluide Risonanze which she composed, arranged and performed in a quartet (flute, violin, cello and piano). GAME OVER, her SINGLE, which she composed and performed as a solo piano, was issued in 2017. 2018 saw a CD called Lo Specchio for solo piano. In 2019 her SINGLES "RENDEZVOUS" , "Claudine & Jean-Pierre", "NUMA" "Sottovoce". In 2020 her CD Mondi Paralleli.
