Deyah

Deyah has had audiences gripped as an MC from the off with her choice of laid back beats, deep lyrical flow and occasional singing.  Her music combines lo-fi Hip Hop with a hint of old school and new school vibes, neo-soul, new vibe jazz and R&B.Her influences include the likes of  Lauryn Hill, Queen Latifah, Lupe Fiasco and Fela Kuti to name a few. Still in her early 20's , Deyah has gained the attention of Lily Allen, Wiley, Kojey Radical, Little Simz, JME, Shakka, Jessie J and Bugzy Malone have all shown appreciation of her talent.


Deyah has been championed by Linda Serck at BBC Introducing Berkshire , alongside DJ Semtex (Capital Xtra) , DJ Target (BBC 1Xtra). In 2019 Deyah was added to BBC Introducing's Hot List for International Women's Day. Her "Lover Loner" and "Care City" have both been listed in Jamz Supernova's (BBC 1Xtra) Top 5 EP's of the week on her radio show, "Lover Loner"was also nominated in the shortlist for the Welsh Music Prize 2019. 


With all this going on, Deyah remains humble as she focus' on her calling as a person of faith.  The task at hand, being a messenger, a storyteller, shelling bars to make her audience think, and feel empowered, uplifted and entertained, all at the same time.
